Where to begin to pay tribute to such a kind, fearless, courageous, and extraordinary person. Thousands of words come to mind. And yet, there are no words sufficient to celebrate my husband and our dear friend Mark Bassett. Mark lived life to the fullest each day, enriching the lives of all those lucky enough to share life’s journey with him. He has left us too soon. But he leaves us forever changed by his unique talent, his passion for beauty, and his unrelentless pursuit of excellence in all he touched. His generosity in sharing his love of architecture and urban design ignited passion in and shaped the futures of so many. An accomplished painter, brilliant architect, and adventurous technologist, he has left behind an enduring legacy of memorable art, buildings, and places to live better lives. But his greatest legacy is all of you and all that you will accomplish. Thank you for your support of Mark to enrich his journey, professionally and personally. Rest in peace, my dearest love. My architect.
