Dr. Martin Howard Tesler (Marty) passed away peacefully at home in Springfield, Virginia, on June 14, 2026, just one month short of his 80th birthday, with his loving and devoted wife Nong by his side. Born on July 11, 1946, and raised in the Bronx, New York, he was the loving son of the late Jules and Gertrude, brother to Bill and the late Michael, Uncle to Joseph, John, Francine, Serena and Deanna, brother-in-law to Theresa and the late Florence.

Marty was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and held a PhD in electrical engineering. He was both brilliant and artistic, a fantastic writer and a gifted musician. He was also a talented amateur magician. He was known for his wit and humor.

Marty spent many years in the consulting industry, working for such prestigious firms as Booz Allen, Coopers & Lybrand, and Deloitte, in addition to several business ventures he initiated with his partners. Over the course of his career, he also held several college professorships in engineering and in physics. 

Marty will be sorely missed, but his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
