Matthew Glenn
Tiffner
June 22, 1964 – April 20, 2026
Matthew Glenn Tiffner, beloved husband of Catherine Tiffner, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. Matt was the kindest, most generous man known for his willingness to help anyone in need. He spent his career as a large equipment mechanic for various construction companies. He possessed an uncanny ability to diagnose and fix any mechanical issue he encountered. Matt loved travelling all over the U.S. with his wife and every day was a new adventure. His other joy was steaming Maryland Blue Crabs and serving up a feast for friends, family, and his beloved “daughter” Jadelynn. After suffering several dibilitating work-related injuries, Matt’s activities were severely limited due to constant chronic pain. Matt is predeceased by his parents Ballard and Mary Lou Tiffner (nee Pearson) and his eldest brother Howard Tiffner (Margaret). He leaves behind his wife Catherine Tiffner (nee Schwarz), a brother Kenneth Tiffner (Carol), and sisters Bonita Tiffner, Barbara Potter, and Cynthia Dehn, Step-sons Sean Kramer (Kristina), Drew Kramer (Victoria), Brother-in-law James Schwarz (Ertin), 5 grandchildren, and 12 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please make a donation to the Literacy Volunteers of the Eastern Panhandle via their website: https://www.lvep-wv.org in Matt’s memory. No service is scheduled at this time.
