Meagan Nicole Heavel, affectionately known as "Pooh Bear," passed away on March 17, 2026, in Washington, DC. Born on June 12, 1985, in Baltimore, Maryland, Meagan was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and cousin whose vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many.
Meagan was known for her outgoing personality and her deep capacity for love and care. She had a passion for reading that enriched her life and provided her endless joy. Those who knew her remember her as someone who was always ready with a warm smile and a kind word. Meagan's love for adventure was evident in the treasured memories shared by her family—she enjoyed delightful trips to New York City and the thrills of Six Flags, moments that are fondly recalled from childhood and beyond.
Her family was central to Meagan’s life. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Dillon Pellegrino and Joshua Herold; her sister Ashley Heavel; and her cherished sons, Robert and Kenneth. She also leaves behind a close-knit circle of nieces and nephews—Constance, Alayna, Dillon, and Gabriel—who held a special place in her heart. Her cousin Julia Heavel also mourns her loss. Meagan was preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Herold; her father, Charles Heavel; and her grandmother, all of whom she held dear.
Meagan was found deceased at her home on March 17, 2026. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be remembered not only for the love and joy she brought to the lives around her but also for her warmth, her devotion to family, and her zest for life.
