Michael Lynn Brown
Devoted Military Service Member, Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Michael Lynn Brown died June 16th, 2025, at 81 years of age in his Haymarket Virginia home surrounded by family. Michael was born September 1st, 1943, to John and Arline Brown in Glover West Virginia. He enlisted in the Army and served 29 years. During his time in the Army he served in the Vietnam War, was part of the special forces as a ranger, and achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel. After his retirement from the Army, he became the Deputy Director of the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security for the State of Louisiana. He also was a member of the Special Forces Decade Club in his retirement.
Michael loved to travel the world with his loving wife Pamela Brown, enjoyed golfing, loved military history and collecting World War II memorabilia. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He is survived by his beloved wife Pamela Brown, his son Michael Lynn Brown II and spouse Karie Brown, his second son Brian Gerard Brown, his daughter Ashley Nicole Brown, his grandchildren Austin Brown, Ethan Brown, Collin Brown, Jordan Brown, Cameron Brown, and his sister Sharon Brown. He was preceded in death by his brothers John Terry Brown, and Ronald Brown.
Michael was a resident of Haymarket Virginia, formerly St. Francisville Louisiana.
