Michael David Hruby, affectionately known as Mike, was born on September 26, 1967, in Washington, DC. He entered the presence of the Lord on October 8, 2025, in Leesburg, VA, peacefully surrounded by his loving parents, Anne and Milo Hruby, and cherished family members and friends.

Throughout his life, Michael was a dedicated professional, working tirelessly for Raytheon Technologies in Virginia until his untimely passing. A true testament to his work ethic, he made significant contributions to his field, earning respect and admiration from colleagues.

Mike was a man whose spirit was deeply enriched by his faith. He was an active member of Calvary Temple for many years, where he found community, spiritual guidance, and a profound commitment to serving the Lord. His unwavering belief that "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life" was a pillar of his personality that he shared with everyone around him.

Those who knew Mike will remember him not just for his professional accomplishments but for his generous heart and vibrant personality. He had a unique talent for bringing joy to those he encountered, often using magic tricks and captivating stories to engage the attention of his nieces, nephews, and friends' children. Mike was especially known among the younger generation as the most popular uncle, often arriving at family gatherings with a 3-pound bag of freshly cooked bacon or an array of incredible homemade treats that he delighted in sharing.

In addition to his deep commitment to family and faith, Mike's hobbies reflected his diverse interests. An adept athlete in his youth, he competed in martial arts, soccer, and lacrosse during high school. He also treasured moments spent playing volleyball with friends and family. His compassionate nature extended further into his community service, as he took on the noble task of cooking regularly for a women's homeless shelter, providing exquisite meals and heartfelt care for those in need. His protective instincts for women and children also led him to teach self defense classes to the more vulnerable in his community.

Mike's departure has created a profound emotional void, leaving behind a loving family consisting of his parents, Milo and Anne Hruby, his sisters Jeanine Andricosky (Joe), Michelle Kallmes (David), Crystal Hruby, and Kerri Kraisser (Cliff). He was a proud uncle to many nieces including Marissa (Jeffrey), Rachel (Charles), Grace (Jordan), Julia, Theresa, Brandi, and Holli, and nephews Kevin, Keith, Quinn, Brian, Nathan (Merredith), Austin, Jason, and Calvin, plus great nephew and nieces Joshua, Caroline, and Oakley. The love and joy he brought into their lives can never be overstated.

In remembering Mike, friends and family reflect on the joyful memories he created, the kindness he imparted, and the steadfast faith he lived out daily. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rose and Wenceslaus Hruby, Lucille and Dr. Merle Stoneman, his Uncle Raymond Hruby, and his Uncle Dr. Dean Stoneman, all of whom welcomed him into eternal life.
