Michelle Dawn Wilson

Michelle Dawn Wilson, fondly known as "Shell," passed away on April 21, 2025, in Woodbridge, Virginia, at the age of 51. Born on February 17, 1974, in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Michelle lived a life rich with love, warmth, and selfless devotion to her family and community.

Michelle's career journey began with her work at Swans Creek Elementary School, where she served as a substitute teacher for special education for three years. Her compassionate spirit and dedication to the wellbeing of others led her to become a caregiver at Vosac Facility for Adult MHMR, where she committed six years to uplifting the lives of those in her care. Michelle was the embodiment of a caring and loving individual; her selflessness shone through in all her endeavors, leaving a lasting impact on both children and adults alike.

A devoted family member, Shell cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She had a particular joy for her grandchildren, Chance, Jeremiah, Eddie, Zebidiah, and Kalilah, whose laughter and happiness brought light to her life. Whether it was riding motorcycles with her husband, Edgar Wilson Jr., or enjoying the tranquility of fishing and hunting, Michelle embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm that was infectious. Her humorous personality and ability to put everyone before herself made her a beacon of love and joy within her family.

Michelle is survived by her loving mother, Carol Kyle; her supportive siblings, Julie Doyle, Brenda Thomas, Tracy Sheffield, and Paula Sheffield; her brother Shawn Kyle; and her cherished children, Dylan Sheffield, Teddy Wilson, and Alyssa Wilson. Together with her husband Edgar, they created a bond that was not only romantic but also a profound partnership grounded in shared passions and collective joy.

In addition to her beloved family, Michelle will be remembered for her vivacious spirit and incredible heart. She joins the spirits of those who have departed ahead of her, including her father, David Lee Sheffield; her aunt, Rose Ellen Pritts; her stepdad, Les Kyle; and her nephew, Trevor Thomas, who now reside in peace.

Though Michelle's journey on this earth has come to a close, the impact of her love and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unyielding devotion that will continue to inspire everyone she encountered. Her memory will be cherished, always reminding us of the beauty of selfless love and the importance of family.
