Heaven has gained an Angel – Our Beautiful Mother

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our beautiful and beloved Mother, Mildred Evelyn Wilson Linden, “aka Mom, Millie, Mil, Aunt Babe, Nana, Great Nana”. She passed away peacefully at the age of 96 at her home in Manassas VA. Her daughter Kathy Linden-Adams and her son Kim Linden both traveled to her home and together all three of her children cared for her in her final days. She was surrounded by love with visits from her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends during her 10 days in hospice care. On the day of her passing, two hospice volunteers came to her home and serenaded her with live guitar music and vocals singing favorite songs from her youth. She clearly was listening by the expressions on her face and her body language. We will always treasure the memories of her family and friends coming together during those difficult days.

One of her greatest gifts was how much she cared for others. She was a kind, loving, and warm soul who touched many lives, and she will be dearly missed. She is now at peace in Heaven with the Lord, her late son Keith Linden and many late family members and friends.

Two Celebrations of Life are being planned for later dates, anticipated to occur in August. One will take place in the state of Ohio and the other in the state of Virginia. We ask for her friends and family to share a memory or story about Mom so that we can assemble a Memory Book to memorialize her and share with current and future generations.
