Nancy Carol Reid, was born on August 30, 1955 in Richmond, VA to Dr. Letcher and Mrs. Virginia Reid. She passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2026. She was 70 years old.

Nancy graduated with a M.A. in Political Science/International Relations from University of Florida and a B.A. in Political Science/International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington. Nancy was the owner of Reid and Associates, which customized training materials, conducted executive seminars in management techniques, leadership and communication/presentation skills. In 2001 until her death, she held senior administrative project management positions in global consulting firms, federal agencies, and academic institutions.

Nancy fully immersed herself in over 20 years of volunteer service: Kennedy Center Editor of the volunteer and staff newsletter, Co-chair of Honors Volunteers, Chair, Volunteer Advisory Council and Area Leader and Shift Leader. She also ushered at Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theater, and Ford’s Theater. Her most rewarding volunteer experience came from her yearly contributions as a Writing Coach for College Summit (now PeerForward). She worked with underprivileged and underrepresented youth from high schools around the country to prepare their individual, unique personal statements for college applications.

Nancy is pre-deceased by her parents and brother, Letcher Reid III. She is survived by her brother, John Reid, godson, Aaron Aranza and many, many friends, both human and animals alike.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
