Nick Pascua of Falls Church, Virginia passed away on May 18, 2026. He was 68, and died at Inova Fairfax there with his family.

Growing up in Manila, Philippines. Nick strived for success and aimed for a better life. He started in Saudi Arabia there he met his beautiful wife Juvy. Who at the time was his nurse and every time he made excuses of not feeling well so he can see her face once more. The two eventually wed, and has two beautiful kids named Rasha and Jordan, and later when they moved to the US wanted one more child to complete their dream of having three, they named him Ivan.

Nick, a graduate of Bachelors in Computer Science and Programming. He was the lead programer in Bank of the Philippines, in Saudi was the first ever non-Saudi head of division in SEKO Saudi Electricity Company now Saudi Energy. During the Y2K crisis, Nick along with many talented programmers was sent to the United States to avert this Worldwide Crisis. Nick worked for Chelsea Computer Consultants and later with the Association of American Railroads. He worked in Mainframe and excelled efficiently on COBOL Programming which yet today in still used in the US government.

He was very fond of Technology and was excited in how fast the advancement stage was in the 80’s. He always had to have what the latest and greatest tech had to offer. His First PC was built in 1981, his first phone he acquired in 1987 was the Ericsson HotLine Pocket. In Saudi it was not normal for non-Saudi’s to have a cellphone but his boss liked him so much, he wanted him to have one.

When Nick arrived to the United States in 1997, everything was different to him. Everything was loud, the Stock Market, Musical instruments that filled the subways, the Sound of Cars honking, Airplanes that flew overhead. Those noises? That was sweet sound of success.

Nick enjoyed building PC’s even though he worked in Mainframe. This passion of his eventually passed on to three generations, his son Jordan and his grandson CJ. During his days they had cold cathode tubes that were used to light the inside of PC cases. Nick grabbed a grinder and grinding away at his PC case to create a window. Gradually he retired in building PC’s and had his son Jordan build them for him. He enjoyed looking at the water-cooling and lights, lights everywhere.

He also loved Photography, his favorite model? His wife of course. The two shared this passion together, from the era of 35mm film cameras to the digital age. Nick experimented with a Darkroom to process his own pictures and did that for several years. Until the digital age with flash storage made transferring and keeping memories easier.

Nick was also every religious, a God fearing man, and was never ashamed to show his love and passion for our Lord, Jesus Christ. On Sundays he would volunteer as a Photographer and later signed for the music ministry.

Besides being a tech wiz, Nick loved music. He would take his guitar and sing folk songs away, his favorite tunes were Soft Rock and Classic Rock. Titles such as Hotel California, Time in the Bottle, and Forbidden Games were some music he loved to listen to and as well play.

Those who knew him will remember him for his passion to help and serve others, his voice and folk songs to bring cheer to others, and the love for his family even on his last breath. He made sure that everyone never felt alone, if you needed someone to talked to he was there. He made sure you are well, safe and cared for.
