Paul Theodore Shelton, III

Paul Theodore Shelton, III, a cherished husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, at the age of 68. Born on August 13, 1956, in Dover, Delaware, Paul lived a life characterized by his unwavering friendliness and constant smile, bringing joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Paul's dedication to his country was evident during his four years of service in the Air Force at the end of the Vietnam War. His commitment to his fellow servicemen and women exemplified the values he held dearly throughout his life.

A man of many interests, Paul found great joy in horse racing, spending countless hours at the track, passionately following the latest races and developments in the sport. His love for athletics extended to his enjoyment of watching sports, making him a familiar figure among friends and family during game days and events.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nasreen Shelton, and his siblings, Kevin Shelton and JoAnn Hollingsworth. Paul is also remembered fondly by his sister-in-law, Josephine Gulzar. He joins in eternal rest his late mother, Alma Shelton; father, Paul Shelton Jr.; and sisters, Janet Moore and Janice Saelens.

Paul's warmth, humor, and deep sense of loyalty will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. As we remember his life, we carry forward the spirit of kindness and happiness that he shared so generously.
