Philip Michael Ford

Philip M. Ford, 83, passed away peacefully at home on July 26, 2026, in Vienna, Virginia. Born on August 17, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Philip lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.

Philip proudly served his country for 23 years as a Military Policeman in the United States Army. A two-time Vietnam War veteran, he exemplified courage and commitment throughout his military career. Following his distinguished service in the Army, Philip continued to serve his nation for an additional 31 years with the Central Intelligence Agency. His lifelong dedication to protecting and serving others left an indelible mark on those who worked alongside him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Philip found joy in simple pleasures such as working and solving crossword puzzles. Known for his loving nature, unwavering dedication, and great sense of humor, he brought light and laughter to those fortunate enough to know him.

Philip was predeceased by his beloved wife, Yong Ford. He is survived by his daughter Diane Hedayaty; grandchildren Joshua M. Kim, Jonathan D. Kim, and Amanda J. Kim; and great-grandchildren Ariel M. Kim, Nylah S. Kim, and Zyer R. Kim. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and honor the legacy he leaves behind  

Philip will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Military Honors Graveside Service will be held on August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042.
