Phon Nuth, the beloved patriarch of the Nuth family, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. A man of immense warmth, kindness, and courage. He was a devoted husband, a man of quiet strength and unwavering character, whose courage made possible his family’s new life in America, his greatest and most enduring legacy.

Born in the quiet rural province of Kompong Speu, Cambodia, Phon was the son of Mr. Nuth Nam and Mrs. Un Sun. He was one of five children, raised alongside an older sister, an older brother, and two younger sisters. From an early age, Phon stood out for his intellect, discipline, and quiet determination. His natural charisma, charm, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him, qualities that would carry him through unimaginable trials.

As a survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime, he endured the horrors of the Killing Fields, witnessing the devastation of his homeland and the loss of countless loved ones. Only he and his youngest sister survived. Yet even in the darkest moments, his spirit never broke. His will to live, to protect, and to persevere remained an unyielding flame.

During the turmoil of war in Battambang province, fate brought him to a young woman named Soeun Tem. In a time of uncertainty and fear, they found in one another hope, strength, and love. Their bond, forged through hardship, became the foundation of a family. Together, they raised four children, and his role as a father became the defining purpose of his life.

After the war, Phon devoted himself to rebuilding. For nearly two decades in Cambodia, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, instilling in his children the values he lived by: responsibility, integrity, resilience, and a deep respect for education. But his vision for them reached far beyond borders.

With extraordinary courage, he accomplished what once seemed impossible, bringing his entire family from a rural village in Cambodia to the United States. In doing so, he did not chase the American dream for himself; rather, he created a path for his children to pursue it.

In America, he continued to lead by example. He guided his children to live with purpose and integrity, giving them the foundation to build meaningful lives of their own. He watched with quiet pride as they grew, raised families, and embraced the opportunities he had sacrificed so much to provide. He was, in every sense, the architect of his family’s future.

Mr. Phon Nuth was a man of his word, steady, responsible, and deeply honorable. His actions carried immeasurable weight. Giving and caring for others was his love language. He expressed love not through words, but through a lifetime of sacrifice, protection, and unwavering devotion to those he held most dear.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of more than 47 years, Soeun Tem, his partner through war and peace, hardship and triumph.

He also leaves behind his four children and nine grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy with honor and gratitude:

លោក ផុន នុត ដែលជាបុព្វបុរសជាទីស្រឡាញ់របស់គ្រួសារ នុត បានទទួលមរណភាពនៅថ្ងៃទី 15 ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ 2026។ ជាបុរសដែលមានភាពកក់ក្តៅ ចិត្តល្អ និងភាពក្លាហានយ៉ាងខ្លាំង។ លោកគឺជាស្វាមីដ៏ស្មោះត្រង់ ជាបុរសដែលមានកម្លាំងស្ងប់ស្ងាត់ និងចរិតមិនរង្គោះរង្គើ ដែលភាពក្លាហានរបស់លោកបានធ្វើឱ្យជីវិតថ្មីរបស់គ្រួសារលោកនៅអាមេរិកអាចធ្វើទៅបាន ដែលជាមរតកដ៏អស្ចារ្យ និងស្ថិតស្ថេរបំផុតរបស់លោក។

បន្ទាប់ពីសង្គ្រាម ផុន បានលះបង់ខ្លួនឯងដើម្បីកសាងឡើងវិញ។ អស់រយៈពេលជិតពីរទសវត្សរ៍នៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា គាត់បានធ្វើការដោយមិននឿយហត់ដើម្បីផ្គត់ផ្គង់គ្រួសាររបស់គាត់ ដោយបណ្តុះដល់កូនៗរបស់គាត់នូវតម្លៃដែលគាត់រស់នៅតាម៖ ការទទួលខុសត្រូវ ភាពស្មោះត្រង់ ភាពធន់ និងការគោរពយ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅចំពោះការអប់រំ។ ប៉ុន្តែចក្ខុវិស័យរបស់គាត់ចំពោះពួកគេបានឈានដល់ហួសពីព្រំដែន។

ដោយភាពក្លាហានដ៏អស្ចារ្យ គាត់បានសម្រេចអ្វីដែលហាក់ដូចជាមិនអាចទៅរួច ដោយនាំគ្រួសារទាំងមូលរបស់គាត់ពីភូមិជនបទមួយក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាទៅកាន់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក។ ដោយធ្វើដូច្នេះ គាត់មិនបានដេញតាមក្តីសុបិនអាមេរិកសម្រាប់ខ្លួនគាត់ទេ។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ គាត់បានបង្កើតផ្លូវសម្រាប់កូនៗរបស់គាត់ដើម្បីបន្តវា។

នៅអាមេរិក ពួកគេបានបន្តដឹកនាំដោយគំរូ។ លោកបានណែនាំកូនៗរបស់លោកឲ្យរស់នៅដោយមានគោលបំណង និងភាពស្មោះត្រង់ ដោយផ្តល់ឱ្យពួកគេនូវមូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះដើម្បីកសាងជីវិតដែលមានអត្ថន័យផ្ទាល់ខ្លួន។ ពួកគេបានមើលដោយមោទនភាពយ៉ាងស្ងប់ស្ងាត់នៅពេលពួកគេធំឡើង ចិញ្ចឹមគ្រួសារ និងឱបក្រសោបឱកាសដែលពួកគេបានលះបង់យ៉ាងច្រើនដើម្បីផ្តល់ជូន។ ក្នុងន័យទាំងអស់ លោកគឺជាស្ថាបត្យករនៃអនាគតគ្រួសាររបស់លោក។
