Phyllis Caston, born on March 14, 1960 in Washington DC, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026. Her 66 years of life were marked by resilience, compassion, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Phyllis was a beloved daughter of Mattie Caston-Foust, who survives her, and the late Willie Caston. Her legacy continues through her loving children: daughters Shanda Washington and Ebony Washington, and son William Caston. She was also preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Deidra Washington. The bonds of family remained central throughout Phyllis’s life. In addition to her children and mother, she is remembered with deep affection by her devoted 4 sisters and 2 brothers, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom survive her and will fondly carry on her memory.
