Randall (Randy) Edward Hill, 69 years old, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2026, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital from complications of Heart Transplant medicines. Randy was born November 22, 1956, in Langdale (now Valley), Alabama, to the late James Edward (Ed) and Shirley Hill. Randy attended Scott Preparatory School, Methodist College for his bachelor’s degree, and Central Michigan University for his master’s degree.

Randy was a Captain in the United States Air Force until 1990, when he embarked on a career in the Information Technology industry. He worked for Oracle Corporation, then joined the Federal sector as a contractor and Federal Employee. Randy married Donna Jones in 1995 and they have one child, Nicholas. Randy has two children from a previous marriage: Macon (Adrianne), Moriah, and grandson Wyatt. He is survived by his brother Jeff, sister Tana, uncle Harold, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randy was a great storyteller, and fun-loving character. He enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, fishing, boating, beekeeping and especially spending time with family and friends. Randy, a man of deep faith, loved being part of a Christian community.

A Celebration of Life in memory of Randy will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1 p.m. at The Arlington Church of the Brethren, 300 N. Montague Street, Arlington, VA with a reception following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Randy Hill’s name to the American Heart Association.
