It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rattan Chand Dadoo, affectionately known as Dadoo Saheb, on November 1, 2025. Born on December 24, 1948, in Punjab, India, Rattan led a life defined by dedication, generosity, and love for his family and community.
Rattan found fulfillment in his professional journey, serving as the General Manager of Procurement & Logistics at the Modi Rubber Tire Manufacturing Factory in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where he devoted 26 years of his career. His commitment to excellence earned him respect and admiration in the whole town, where he was regarded as a notable figure.
A proud alumnus of Thapar University of Engineering and Technology in Patiala, Rattan attained his degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1973. This educational foundation complemented his natural abilities, leading him to build a remarkable career while maintaining a deep connection to his roots.
Rattan’s personality was a tapestry of qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. He was known for being generous, compassionate, and loving. His ability to connect and nurture relationships highlighted his simple yet profound heart. Those who were close to him often commented on his handsome appearance and charismatic presence, attributes that caught the eye of his beloved wife, Urmil.
Family was at the core of Rattan's life. He took immense pride in the accomplishments of his children, Rachna and Raman, and found great joy in the company of his grandchildren, Manishka, Aaron Krishna, and Keshi. Memories of their visits to India, filled with laughter, delicious meals such as halwa and Chhole Bhature, and discussions about Indian politics, will forever be cherished by all. Rattan loved spending time with his loved ones, whether napping, watching shows about Indian politics, or exercising on his treadmill. Each moment shared reflected the essence of his loving nature.
Rattan’s legacy is one of a dedicated, simple-hearted individual who devoted his life to caring for and loving his family. He could always be found discussing various topics, sharing stories, or enjoying lighthearted moments through Indian comedy shows. His remarkable metabolism allowed him to savor a wide array of foods, from burritos to apple pie, with the same enthusiasm that characterized his approach to life.
Rattan’s passing has left a considerable void in the hearts of many, including his wife, Urmil; his children, Rachna and Raman; his daughter-in-law, Isha; his grandchildren, Manishka, Aaron Krishna, and Keshi; his extended family, Arun; and close friends, including Mrinal. Though he has left this world, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Rattan Chand Dadoo will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and forgiving soul, whose love knew no bounds. He passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
