Rhoda Pearl
Baum
March 8, 1933 – January 22, 2026
Rhoda Pearl Baum passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on January 22, 2026, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Robert Lawrence Baum. Rhoda is survived by her children, Barbara Jill (Michael) Kotlarchyk and Jason Baum, her grandchildren Maxwell (Lindsay) Kotlarchyk, Leah Kotlarchyk, Ann Baum, Mary Douglass Baum, Madeline (Michael) Cueter, and her great grandchildren Cameron Kotlarchyk, Jade Kotlarchyk, and infant Ruth Cueter.
Rhoda was a devoted daughter, supportive wife, and loving mother. Her family was her loadstone and the center of her life. She was an outgoing and generous soul who always sought to connect with and help others. She volunteered for causes that she was passionate about, including various presidential campaigns, The League of Women Voters, and the Local Democratic Party in Sarasota, and also organized many fund-raising sales at the Jefferson independent living community in Arlington, Virginia.
Although Rhoda has passed on and will be missed, her spirit continues to live on in the memories of her family, relatives, long-time family friends, and the many others whose lives she touched. A memorial service celebrating Rhoda's life will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Rhoda's memory.
