Richard (Rick) Alan Evans was born on November 28, 1959, in Dodge City, Kansas, to

Rosemary and Roy Evans; Rick passed away on June 17, 2026, in Chantilly, Virginia.

Throughout his life, Rick lived across the American West and remained connected to

loved ones. He grew up in Utah, attending Saint Olaf Catholic School and graduating

from Judge Memorial Catholic High School where he met many of his life-long friends.

Later in life, he moved to several western states – often to care for and support family

members and loved ones. Wherever life took Rick, he had a remarkable ability to

connect with new people and remain close to friends and family, near and far.

Rick, also known affectionately as Uncle Bubba to his many nieces and nephews and

Grandpa Ricky to his granddaughters, will be sorely missed. His quick wit, spontaneous

humor, and most importantly his endless acceptance, support, and love will remain in

our hearts forever and continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Rick is survived by Teresa, his loving wife of 31 years, stepson Eric (Gail),

granddaughters Lenora and Rosalie, sister Jeanne, brother Randy (Stephanie), and

many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in

death by his parents Rosemary and Roy, and by his brothers Mark, Greg, Steve, and Tom.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday November 27, 2026, at St. Olaf’s

Catholic Church in Bountiful, Utah, at 10:00 am with the reception immediately

following. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Sunshine Ranch Therapeutic

Riding in Lakeview, California – a charity that Rick faithfully supported for many years.
