Richard L. Snoots Jr., 68, Manassas, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer. 

He was a fun-loving and good-hearted man with a generous spirit. He liked to watch sports, play cards, and spend time at the casino. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Kim, his son Richard L. Snoots, III (Sarah), his daughter, Katelyn A. Snoots (Nicholas), his three beloved grand-children, Jackson R. Nelson, Annette P. Snoots, and Richard L. Snoots IV, and his two brilliant nieces, Lisa Haaser Farrar (Shawn) and Lindsey Braciale (Michael). He is also survived by his adoring older sister, Janet Haaser, who loved her baby brother dearly.

Born and raised in Virginia, Rick was a talented athlete in his youth and shared his passion for sports with his children. In addition to coaching, playing catch, and volunteering his time to help with practice, he was their biggest fan. Rick’s love for his children was only surpassed by the adoration he felt for his three grand-children. The greatest joy of his life was being their “Papa” and hearing their laughter.

He is deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory will continue to live on through them.
