Robert Leslie Arnold Jr.

Robert “Bob” Leslie Arnold, Jr., beloved father, passed away on May 25, 2025, at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. He was born on June 24, 1938, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Robert L. Arnold, Sr., and Almeda Arnold, and the beloved husband of the late Carolyn Arnold.

He is survived by his first wife, Sarah Bouscaren, and their three children: daughter, Marcie Buchanan, and sons Robert L. Arnold, III (Jenny), and Edward A. Arnold (Sandy). He is also survived by two step-daughters from his marriage to Carolyn Arnold: Michelle Easter-Dunn and Cheryl Heiney (Tom). Additional survivors include his sister, Susan A. McCauley (John), grandchildren, Robert L. Arnold, IV., Hailey Arnold, Jackson Arnold, Benjamin Buchanan, Sarah Buchanan, Elizabeth Arnold, Matthew Arnold and great grandchild, Robert L. Arnold, V.

Bob graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1960 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to found the business Wilbar and Arnold, and his dealership became the first in the United States to carry the English JCB backhoe. A passionate car enthusiast, Bob owned many Corvettes and was the co-owner of Cooper Corvettes in Triangle, VA. As an active member of the local Corvette club, he enjoyed both racing and touring.

He had a lifelong love of cars, tractors, and large construction equipment, and took great pride and joy in driving his bright red, award-winning 1959 Cadillac convertible. Bob also cherished the many lifelong friendships he built through his business ventures and the Corvette community.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville, VA, on June 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow, and all guests are invited to join the family. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Leesburg, VA.
