Robert L. Davis, III was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 26, 1951 to late Robert L. "Bob" Davis, Jr. and Frances Prioleau Davis. He graduated from West Charlotte High School. He was always interested in continuing his education. He grated from Morehouse College in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Howard University Juris Doctorate, Catholic University, Master of Library Science and National Spiritual Science Center. For over 30 years, Robert was an Ordained Minister of Spiritual Science.

Robert worked at various government agencies in Virginia and retried from the Manassas County Law Library. He was well respected by his colleagues.

Robert's talents were many. He enjoyed cooking delicious dishes along with baking scrumptious desserts. He even became and avid gardener. Robert's curiosity as a child led him to become an eager lifelong reader.

He was a gentle, caring person, who never met a stranger, a great neighbor and steadfast friend. 

Robert's legacy will continue through those he loved the most: Sister, Sherry Davis Young (Samuel) of Atlanta, GA, Nephews, Sean Young (Tina) of Dallas, GA., Judah Young of Conyers, GA, Niece, Sheree Young, Grand Niece, Imani Symone Simpkins of Atlanta, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
