Robert David Hartsfield

Robert David Hartsfield, known affectionately as Bobby by those closest to him, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, in Broadlands, Virginia. He was born on May 2, 1953, in Monticello, Florida, but grew up in Northern Virginia.

Throughout his 73 years, Bobby exemplified humility, integrity, and a deep respect for others. Those who knew him recall his gentle nature and unwavering dedication to the people and commitments that mattered most. Bobby was a lifelong Washington Redskins football fan. He had a love of music and Nascar racing. 

Bobby is survived by his beloved spouse, Katherine, of 41 years, who stood beside him in love and partnership through life’s many joys and challenges. Their enduring companionship was a testament to the quiet strength and deep affection that defined Bobby's approach to all his relationships.

Family and friends mourn his passing and celebrate the many ways his steady presence brightened their lives. Although his journey here has ended, the memory of Bobby’s kindness, wise counsel, and gentle demeanor will remain with all whose lives he touched.
