Robert "Caleb" Ridings passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2026, leaving a profound absence in the lives of all who knew him. Born on March 29, 2002, in Fairfax County, Virginia, Caleb was a deep soul who touched the hearts of many.
Caleb graduated from Westfield High School in 2020, where he distinguished himself as a JROTC cadet, award-winning artist, and a member of the football team. He was actively pursuing a degree in Criminology at George Mason University, reflecting his passion for understanding the complexities of human behavior.
Caleb valued his work and the team at Chasin' Tails restaurant, where he demonstrated his culinary and interpersonal skills as a bartender and server.
In addition to school and work, Caleb nurtured a variety of interests that showed his diverse talents. He was a talented artist, musician, lyricist, amateur chef, diver, motorcyclist, and athlete. He was an avid reader of books spanning genres from philosophy to fantasy. Caleb’s deep soul allowed him to engage with the world meaningfully, continually seeking answers and reflecting on the nature of existence.
Caleb leaves behind loving family and friends. He is survived by his mother Fria, stepfather Matthew, his father, Robert, stepmother Angelica, siblings Dariana, AJ, Tanner, and Serafina; Grandparents Halabogi Yong, Ba Gnoai Khanh, Grandma Barb, and Grandpa Bob; and many adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his beloved cat, Bellaluna, who now joins him in spirit.
Caleb Ridings enriched the lives of those around him with his kindness, generous spirit, strength, talents, and intellect. His time with us was far too brief, but his part in our lives will be felt always, as will the grief of his sudden departure.
He was brilliant, and he is Loved.
