In Loving Memory of Robert L Trude, December 11, 1924 - August 31, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and friend, Robert (Bob) Trude, who passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on August 31,2025 with loved ones by his side.
Born on December 11,1924 in Altoona PA, Bob lived a full century marked by grace and quiet strength. He witnessed a changing world and met each era with dignity, wisdom and resilience. His life was a testament to hard work and perseverance, serving in the US Navy during WWII and working as a civil engineer for over 40 years. He is survived by his children: Mark Trude and Debbie Trude, Gregg Trude, Wendy Trude Payne and husband David Payne. Grandchildren, Ryan Payne, Rachael Payne, Kyle Payne, Douglas Trude, Heather Trude, and Rylee Trude all who were a great source of pride and joy to him. They have all shared many great times and great memories together.
His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, love of children, dogs, sports and of course Baseball, specifically the Orioles.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held for all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will receive details once a date is established.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Bob's name to any of the following charities that were dear to his heart. 1) Tunnel to Towers 2) ASPCA 3) Feed the Children.
We will miss him dearly but take comfort in knowing he led a full long life that was meaningful. Rest in Peace Dad!
