On August 27th, Ronald J. Kirkpatrick (Ron) passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. 

A long time resident of Connecticut, Ron moved to Washington, DC in 2021 to be closer to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marilou; his daughter, Lauren and her husband John Karp of Washington, DC; his brother, Brian Kirkpatrick of Langley, WA; his sister, Peg Kirkpatrick of Portland, CT; and his granddaughters Caroline and Emily.

Ron was an avid UConn basketball fan and cherished his annual family vacations on Mount Desert Island, ME. He will be remembered for his exceptional kindness and love of family.

A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to Friends of Acadia.
