Ronald “Ron” Francis Lattomus, 67, of Remington, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026.
Ron was born on April 22, 1958, in Wilmington, Delaware, to John Francis Lattomus, Jr. and Jean Leona Brown. He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, where he attended Christiana High School and the University of Delaware.
Ron, a U.S. Air Force veteran, served our country for eight years. Afterward he spent most of his career as a Program Manager in Government Services and was very proud to have spent most of that time working with the Department of Veteran Affairs. He took pride in his work and was respected by colleagues for his commitment and reliability.
Ron was known for his big heart and love for the outdoors. He enjoyed grilling, hunting, and fishing, and cherished time spent with family, friends, and his beloved pets. He had an outgoing personality, infectious laugh, great sense of humor and a way of making those around him feel welcome and valued.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Lattomus; his son, Darron Lattomus and his wife Melissa Lattomus; his daughter, Melissa Torre and her husband Brian Torre; his sisters Kathie Topolski and Bonnie Carrere; his brother John Lattomus; nieces and nephews; and his four grandchildren, Charlotte Lattomus, Leo Lattomus, Emma Lattomus and Angel Torre. He also leaves behind the Lattomus Pack of six dogs, Takoda, Josie, Rigel, Roscoe, Chance and Sunny.
Ron was a very loving husband, father and Pop-Pop. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
