Rosita Ann Weaver

.Rosita Ann Weaver, a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away in on August 31 in Virginia, where she had made her home in recent years. She was born on March 11, 1969, in Washington, D.C., and from the very beginning was deeply cherished by her family. Rosita was lovingly adopted by Geraldine Brown who raised her in Montgomery County, Maryland, alongside her younger brother, Eric Brown.

Baptized in the Catholic faith, Rosita grew up surrounded by love and guided by strong values. She attended the Academy of the Holy Names in Silver Spring, Maryland, graduating with the Class of 1987. During those years she built lasting friendships and carried forward a spirit of compassion and resilience that marked her life.

Rosita later settled in Arlington, Virginia, a community she came to love and where she spent the remainder of her years. Her greatest pride was her family. In 1997, she welcomed her son Kevin, who would become the center of her world. Rosita’s devotion only grew when she became a grandmother to Kevin’s children: Kevin Jr. and Jolaya. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she delighted in every milestone, every smile, and every shared moment with them.

Rosita will be remembered for her warmth, her loyalty to family, and her unshakable love. She carried herself with quiet strength and deep kindness, always putting others before herself. Those who knew her best will carry forward her memory as a source of inspiration, comfort, and love.

She is survived by her son Kevin, her grandchildren Kevin Jr. and Jolaya, her brother Eric, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She now joins her beloved parents, Geraldine and William, in eternal rest.

Rosita’s life was one of love and devotion, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly through her family. Services will take place at Sacred Heart Church in Bushwood, MD on September 19, 2025 at 12:00 PM. 23080 Maddox Rd, Bushwood, MD 20618.
