Deo Van Sach (1948 – 2026)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deo Van Sach, who departed this life peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 78. Sach was born on November 21, 1948, in Vietnam.

Music was one of the great loves of Sach's life. He founded the chamber music program "Nhung Ngay Thang Khong Quen" (Unforgettable Days), pouring his time and passion into creating a space where music could be shared and cherished. Those who knew him remember a man whose home was always open — a warm and generous host who welcomed friends with genuine hospitality, never letting anyone leave without feeling cared for. Whether speaking with a bank colleague or a stranger, Sach treated everyone with the same quiet respect and dignity, regardless of their place in life.

Sach was a dedicated husband to Nguyen Kim Phung, his loving wife of 55 years, and a devoted father to Myen Vu, Duy Vu, Quynh Uyen, and Thach Vu. He was a proud grandfather to Deon, Leon, Vincent, Sophia, Matthew, Annie, Tan, Brynn, Wyatt, and Maxx. He served as a former CEO of  Tin Nghia Bank, Sa Dec branch, but it was his character — his kindness, his open door, and his love of music — that truly defined him.

Sach's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.

A memorial will be held on June 27, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Unity of Fairfax, Fairfax, VA. Please, no flowers or condolence gifts.
