Sean (Brendan) Sheridan, 81, of Alexandria, Virginia, died peacefully on January 6th, 2026 with his children by his side. Born in Oldcastle, County Meath, Ireland, he cultivated a love for music and art at a very young age. His talents took him beyond the shores of Ireland, and he became an integral part of the Irish Folk community in the D.C. area.  He is predeceased by his parents, Martha (nee Gill) and Padraig Sheridan, and his brothers, Pearse and Liam. He is survived by his devoted children, Maeve Aisling and her husband Andrew, and Rory Patrick and his wife Shannon, and his three beloved grandchildren, Ronan, Sylvia, and Otto. He was the whole world to his children and there aren’t enough words to express quite how deeply he was loved. He simply lit up the lives of all those around him. His talents were infinite, his charm relentless, his quick wit and disarming sense of humor like no other.  

"Ar dheis De go raibh a anam".  May you rest in peace, we love you so much Dad.
