Shane Leon
Ronetz
September 10, 1971 – March 18, 2026
Shane Leon Ronetz was a beloved son, a brother, and a true friend to many. Everyone who met him, even passing in the neighborhood, shares kind words of the bright impression he left on the world. He is survived by his mom, Vanessa, and dad, George, along with brother Blade and sister-in-law Christine. He was preceded in death by his little black cat, Zero, who stayed by his side for 21 years. This tremendous loss extends far beyond his immediate family. His powerful lifelong friendships meant everything to him, and they too will remember Shane for every quality of his being.
Shane loved anything with two wheels, loved going off the beaten path, exploring the outdoors, and camping in nature. He had an adrenaline junkie streak in him. Only Shane would fearlessly challenge himself to learn to ride a Onewheel at age 54.
You couldn't help but feel the infectious joy he took in his hobbies and interests. He was always willing to help anyone in need in any way he could, and always went about it with patience, care, and forethought.
He lived his life with the greatest intentions; and the immense tragedy for those he left behind is that we don’t get to see them bear fruit to share in his joy and accomplishment. Go forth Shane, for you are now free to ride on forever, unburdened from the hurts of this physical realm.
