Shaun Hopkins, son of the late James Hopkins and Pamela Whitney was born February 28,1980 in Arlington, VA. He departed this earthly life July 1, 2025. He was a graduate of Gar-Field High School, Woodbridge, VA. He was most recently employed by Pitkins Hardware, Dale City, VA.

Shaun enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved large holiday gatherings with lots of food and laughter, cook outs at the park, family reunions and hiding eggs for the kids at Easter.  He was quite creative; drawing and crafting  T-shirt's, hats etc. He enjoyed movies and movie lines from his favorite films.  He loved music especially D.C. Go-Go. Wherever he was, there was fun.

His life was not perfect, but Shaun always tried to encourage those younger than he to do what was right...to be obedient and study hard.  He rewarded them for good grades, even if he spent his last.  He will be deeply missed by us all.

Preceding him in death are his father, James Hopkins,  Ambrose Whitney (stepfather), sister; Habakkuk Hopkins, and three cousins; Andre Jenkins, Gordon Hepburn,  and Conrad Bassil.

Shaun leaves to cherish his memory his mother Pamela Whitney, brothers Adrian Butler and Brian Stewart and sister Maria Bush (Ray).

Aunts and uncles; Ernest Hepburn (Gladys), Elizabeth Doggette (Larry), Doryce Robinson (Walter), Terry Robinson (Steve), Thomas Hopkins, Jr., Joyce Charles (Charles), Virginia Hamilton (Quentin), Annette Denney (Ron), Antoinette Ford, Jean Love, David Hopkins (Patricia), Conrad Hopkins (Sheila), Gervan Hopkins, and Lathia Dent (Maurice).

Nieces and nephews; Marquis, Dominic, Janaya, Makai, Kyron, Jackson, Christian, Anthony, Mercedes, Quire,  Asia and Isaiah.

Cousins; Bennie Jenkins Jr. (Sharon), Nicole Butler, Thomas Hopkins and Cobra Singh (Jasmine), each with whom Shaun resided at some point. A host of other beloved relatives and friends are left to mourn his passing.
