August 19, 1989 — March 12, 2025

Charlestown, WV

Steven Christopher Binder, known online as Thorsrampage, beloved by family and friends, has always been a kind and loving soul since childhood. He was inquisitive, creative, challenging, and passionate about fostering growth in himself and others. He strived to expand horizons - to help others to open their minds, hearts, and souls through exposure to music, books, media, and especially video games. Through his online presence, he connected with and supported friends all over the world. He liked to create and build things, from "K'Nex" roller coasters as a child to building computers from their component parts as an adult and teaching others to do the same. He has mentored persons younger than he is. He has challenged people older than him to engage in introspection and personal growth. He worked all his life to help people broaden their perspectives and expand upon their understanding. His family will never forget watching the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once with him multiple times while we talked about it and tried to suss out the deeper meanings and common human themes. He struggled with health issues during his military service and afterward. He suffered greatly, but he remained kind. He set boundaries when needed and was willing to break down interpersonal barriers when necessary. He wasn't afraid to do what he felt was best. He was independent, bluntly honest, and unafraid to stand up for his beliefs. He was fearless in love and not bound by convention or the opinions of others. He liked to cook, feed people healthy meals, and teach people how to care for themselves. He loved to host and connect with people in his community, giving his time and energy to make the world a better place. He liked to help things grow, whether it be people, animals, or plants. He spent hours planting flowers and trees around his apartment buildings to bring color and life into the world he shared with others.

From the time he started driving, he knew that he wanted to be an organ donor in order to help others who are suffering live longer, healthier lives. We will never forget his kindness, bluntness, stubbornness, humor, introspection, and vibrancy in his life and his gift of life and health to countless others.
