Mitch was a man of many talents and pursued an impressive educational journey, earning a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science degree from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development. His professional endeavors included working as a website developer and government contractor, and he also made time to be a devoted pet sitter, often traveling back to Delaware to assist his elderly father, Stanley, and special needs brother.
Throughout his life, Mitch exemplified kindness and generosity. Even during his own health struggles, particularly while undergoing chemotherapy treatments, he prioritized the well-being of those he loved, ensuring that he assisted his father and brother with their bills and daily needs. His friends speak fondly of his compassion, recalling times he provided financial support during difficult circumstances, including giving a friend $100 so she could celebrate her daughter's birthday. His exceptional spirit made him a cherished figure in the lives of many.
Mitch was not only admired for his altruism but also for his zest for life. He had a deep-seated passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, proudly displaying his loyalty through jerseys and even bed sheets adorned with the team’s logo. He delighted in evenings spent at the movies and workouts at the gym, cherishing the simple pleasures of life. His love for animals, particularly cats and dogs, was well-known among those close to him.
In his personal life, Mitch was blessed to share a special bond with his partner, who he referred to as the love of his life. Their 14 years together were filled with mutual respect and deep affection, underscoring Mitch's capacity for genuine connection with those around him.
Mitch leaves behind his beloved father Stanley, the love of his life Kisha Jackson, his brother Scott, and an Uncle Paul, in addition to several cousins who will miss him dearly. His legacy of selflessness and compassion will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. Mitch Irzinski was indeed an angel on this earth, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
