Tarasia Lynn
Remhof
Nov 9, 1959 — Dec 8, 2026
Tarasia Lynn Remhof passed away on August 19, 2026. Tarasia was born in Marshall, Minnesota after her twin sister on November 9, 1959. This set up the pattern she followed for the rest of her life, always fighting with her sister to go first. After graduating from high school, she got as far away from the cold as she could and attended Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL where she received her Bachelors in Business and Masters in Contracts and Acquisitions Management. She moved to Virginia where she worked as a contracting officer and made her first government purchase, canteen cupstand type 2 with bottom, for the US Marines.
From that auspicious start she went on to demonstrate her powers in the Coast Guard, National Gallery of Art, FEMA, DHS, and back to the Marines where she was known as the procurement goddess. She retired and spent the rest of her days reading, cross stitching, travelling, cuddling her cats, and annoying her sister.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Harold Remhof and mother, Etta Remhof and is survived by her sister, Tamara Remhof, brothers, George (Catharina) Remhof, Marc (Cheryl) Remhof, and Matthew Remhof; nieces and nephews, Justin (Octavia) Remhof, Jessica (Josh) Anderson, Kennedy Remhof, Heather Hoover, Jack Pawlak, and Samantha Pawlak; and awesome great nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers please donate to VITAS Healthcare or your favorite charity.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
