Teresa was an avid reader who enjoyed playing Trivial Pursuit and cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Teresa Lynne Gibson, 74, of Lorton, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 9, 2026, following a long illness.

Born on January 12, 1952, in Poole, Dorset, England, Teresa was the daughter of the late Robert and Mavis (Tibble) McClure.

Teresa was an avid reader who enjoyed playing Trivial Pursuit and cherished spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Gibson of Lorton, Virginia; her stepchildren, Stephanie (Tommy) Harper of Cave City, Kentucky, Stacy (Jon) Casey of Chantilly, Virginia, and Steven (Kassie) Gibson of Cave City, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Felisha Thompson, Tiffany Waters, Kylie Casey, Allen Harper, Briley Gibson, Brooke Gibson, Amber Casey, and Braden Gibson; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Hailie, Aubrey, and Isabella Waters; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Greg’s longtime girlfriend, Nicole and her 2 daughters, Zaniah and Aimi, who held a special place in her heart.
