Thomas Joseph Calvert, lovingly known as Tom, was born on November 3, 1967, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at Inova Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, with his beloved sister, Sharon, by his side.

Tom dedicated his professional life to serving as a general manager for AutoZone, where his caring nature and quick wit brought a special light to all who worked with him. He was not just a boss; he was a friend and mentor, always taking the feelings of others into consideration. His colleagues fondly remember him for his extraordinary sense of humor that could brighten even the dullest of days.

Beyond his career, Tom cherished his family above all else. He was deeply loved and admired, known for his warmth that touched everyone he met. One of the memories that shines brightly is how he would indulge his family by dressing up in various costumes during their outings, never once saying no to the joy it brought them.

Tom had a passion for fishing and an enthusiasm for watching NASCAR, pursuits that brought him great happiness throughout his life. He found peace in the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the race.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his surviving sister, Sharon Ann Elbadri her husband  Rachid along with brothers Wallace Eugene, Calvert Junior, his wife Susa, Robert Lee Calvert, and Roger Edward Calvert as well as many nieces and nephews.  Tom is also survived by two caring aunts, Hazel Manuel of Pennsylvania and Wanda Alessi of Vancouver, Washington, who will always remember the laughter and love he brought to their lives.

Tom's passing leaves a profound sense of loss. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Eugene Calvert, mother, Florence Pforte Calvert, brother, Walter Thomas Calvert, sister, Nancy Marie Gordy, and brother, Kevin James Calvert. Their memories of Tom will forever be etched in their hearts, as he was a source of endless love and laughter.

Though he may no longer walk among us, Tom's loving spirit will continue to reside in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory be a blessing and a reminder of the joy that a caring, humorous soul can bring to this world.
