Timothy Farrell Seldin

Age 78, of Arlington, Virginia, formerly of New York, New York, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Tim was a beloved husband, uncle, cousin, and generous friend whose warmth, loyalty, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret “Peggy” Seldin (Conway); several brothers- and sisters-in-law; 10 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, and extended family members, along with their spouses and partners; and many beloved family dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joel; his mother, Doris; and his brother, Alexander.

Tim earned his degree in Economics from Bard College and went on to receive a Master of Science in Economics from Tufts University, with a concentration in Computer Science. He built a distinguished career working for the federal government and private contractors, ultimately retiring after 20 years with CA Technologies (formerly Computer Associates).

An avid skydiver and dedicated cyclist, Tim lived life with passion and determination. He was known for cycling 25 miles each way to work—a testament to both his discipline and his love of the outdoors. He found peace by the water and especially cherished time spent in Ocean City, Maryland, where he enjoyed the beach and created lasting memories with family and friends.

Tim took great pride in his distinctive style, collecting dapper hats, smoking jackets, and fine shoes. He also loved Halloween more than any other holiday and looked forward each year to welcoming trick-or-treaters to his door. Sharing in their excitement and admiring their costumes brought him great joy.

Tim was also fortunate to enjoy lifelong friendships with George Ziobro, Joan Mashburn, and Paige Williams, whose companionship and loyalty remained a treasured part of his life.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
