Celebrating the Life of Tonya Millie Randall

Tonya Millie Randall was born on January 21, 1969, in Washington, DC. She was a vibrant, joyful spirit whose presence could fill any room with laughter, music, and love.

Tonya had a deep love for music and could often be heard singing tunes throughout the day. Whether it was a favorite song from Patti LaBelle or Prince, she had a way of turning everyday moments into melodies. Singing, storytelling, and laughter were simply part of who she was. Her voice and spirit brought warmth and comfort to those around her.

Tonya enjoyed the simple joys of life. She loved cooking, dancing, coloring, playing board games and cards, visiting amusement parks, and of course doing a little shopping. She had a bold and adventurous personality, and those who knew her will always remember how she could make people laugh and feel welcome. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished the time she spent with those she loved.

A woman of faith, Tonya was a devoted Christian who believed deeply in God. She was never shy about singing His praises and often shared her faith through music and conversation. Her faith guided her life and the way she cared for others.

Tonya was a hardworking and compassionate woman who spent much of her life caring for others. She worked in several roles including caregiving, nursing support, security, and dietary services. No matter the position, her heart for helping people was always evident. She also proudly obtained her GED in Pittsburgh, demonstrating her determination and resilience.

Tonya was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Peggy Ann Randall; her brother and best friend, Harlen Randall; and her sister, Zarita Randall.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, her daughter, Tiffany Randall, who fought with her until the very end. Also leaving a son, Burl Randall. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, RaMal (Nike) Randall, Darius Brown, and Nicole Brown.

She is also survived by her siblings Nochica Randall, Burl Randall, and Douglas Sydnor, along with a host of family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Tonya also shared special companionship with her beloved dogs, Scoobydoo, Prince, and Jeffro who brought her joy and comfort.

Tonya’s life was filled with music, laughter, faith, and love. Though she has transitioned from this earthly life, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
