Wanda Jeanette "Jan" Seal Robertson

Jan Robertson, a beloved nurse, mother and friend, peacefully passed away on April 9, 2026, in Aldie, Virginia, with her daughter by her side. She was 86.

Wanda Jeanette “Jan” Seal Robertson was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, and earned her B.S. in nursing from the University of Tennessee. She dedicated more than 40 years of her life to caring for others, spending most of her nursing career in the Coronary Care Unit at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital.

Jan will be deeply missed by family, friends and all whose lives she touched with her quick wit, thoughtful gestures and generous spirit.

Her love for animals was evident in her lifelong devotion to cats, fostering many over the years. She cherished the beauty of nature, especially the vibrant colors of autumn leaves, and found joy in long drives through the countryside.

Jan was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held her faith close to her heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Robertson of Richmond, Virginia, and a brother, Terry Seal of Morristown, Tennessee. She was predeceased by brothers Edwin Seal and Oden Seal.
