William Laud Kobina Sam was born to the late Mr. Laud Sam of ANOMABO, near Cape Coast, Ghana and was a newspaper editor, and the late Madam Christiana LARYEA of OSU Accra, who was a housewife.

William received his elementary education at the New Nation Preparatory School before advancing to high school where he excelled academically, particularly in Mathematics. His outstanding performance earned him a scholarship to study Medicine in the United Kingdom. However, his oldest brother persuaded him to pursue Chartered Accountancy instead. Following this advice, William became one of the youngest individuals to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

Upon returning home, he secured employment with Deloitte, a Chartered Accountancy Firm.
He eventually married Felicity Phoebe APPIAH and together they had three incredible children.
He later worked with Panell Kerr Foster, Ghana, another Chartered Accountancy Firm and subsequently, served as an Expatriate with the same Firm in Monrovia, Liberia.
He returned to the United Kingdom to pursue his MBA, and later became the Financial Controller with the Ghana Reinsurance Organization before eventually joining his family in Virginia.
He sat for the board and obtained his CPA.

He fell ill, on a few occasions and recovered.
Unfortunately, we lost him suddenly.
You be will be dearly missed by all of us.

REST IN PERFECT PEACE, BILL
