Yong Sok Chung, 53, was born in Korea on October 4, 1972. In 1989 or 1990, he moved to the United States, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He was known as a skilled Korean folk musician, teaching many students the art of Korean drumming. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Joonyoung Chung, 22, from his marriage to Eun Hyeong Cho, 54, and by the musical traditions he helped preserve and share with his community.
