On August 18, 2025 Charles G. Brown, born in Birmingham, AL, passed peacefully at his home. He served 30+ years for DOD, played tennis daily, and made lifelong friendships. Charles leaves three children: Michael, Angela and Kim; two grands: Jordan and Noel; and two great-grands: Logan and Bryson. A private celebration of life will be held on September 6, 2025....

Lieutenant Colonel James “Jim” Christopher Allen Tomlin, U.S. Army, Retired, 80, of Springfield, Virginia died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 18, 2025. Jim Tomlin was born in Richmond, Virginia, January 31, 1945, to Francis Virginia Jones and Carl William Tomlin. In 1946, the family moved to Chevy Chase, Maryland, where Jim spent his early life.
